Into the Woods Auditions
Dates: Monday and Tuesday, May 21st and May 22nd
Time: 6:00pm – 10:30pm
Location: Lowell Mason Auditorium, 88R South Street, Medfield, MA
Open call each evening from 6:00pm -7:00pm
Appointment time slots begin at 7:00pm

Note: You may be asked to stay for additional singing after your audition
TENTATIVE REHEARSAL & PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
This is an ensemble show. Cast members are expected to attend all rehearsals.
Be prepared to list any and all potential conflicts at the time of your audition.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Prepare 32 bars of a Sondheim song not from the show. To be seen for a specific role, please also prepare ONE musical selection from the attachments listed below. You may indicate at the audition your interest in other roles. Time permitting, you may be asked to sing for those as well.

The Witch – Sarcastic, ugly-then-gorgeous. Mezzo-Soprano (Vocal sides)
The Baker – Harried and insecure. Baritone (Vocal sides)
The Baker’s Wife – Determined and bright. Mezzo-Soprano (Vocal sides)
Cinderella – Young, earnest, warm-hearted maiden. Soprano (Vocal sides)
Jack – Young, dim-witted boy. Almost a man. Tenor (Vocal sides)
Little Red Ridinghood – A feisty, smart aleck girl. Mezzo-Soprano (Vocal sides)
Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf – Vain and gorgeous. Baritone or...
Rapunzel's Prince – Vain and gorgeous. Baritone (Vocal sides)
Rapunzel – A loopy-but-lovely maiden. Soprano. (Vocal sides)
Jack’s Mother – Browbeating and weary. Mezzo-Soprano.
Narrator – Intellectual and pleasant. Baritone.
Mysterious Man – A mischievous vagrant. Baritone. (Vocal sides)
Cinderella’s Stepmother – Mean-spirited. Mezzo-Soprano.
Florinda – Cinderella’s stepsister, lovely, but black of heart. Mezzo-Soprano.
Lucinda – Cinderella’s stepsister, lovely, but black of heart. Soprano.
Cinderella’s Mother / Granny / Giant – Mezzo-Soprano.
The Steward – Servant to the Royal family. Surly and bureaucratic. Tenor.
