Cabaret Was A Smashing Hit!
If you were not at the Lowell Mason Auditorium this past weekend to see Woodland Theatre Company's performance of Cabaret, well you definitely missed out!
At precisely 8:00pm, patrons gathered at MHS to fill their theater fixes for the highly anticipated performance. From the moment the curtain opened to the time it closed, there was nothing but pure entertainment on that stage.
Stealing the show was Evan Murphy, playing the Emcee - he was a total riot. His portrayal of a German host was not only convincing, also highly enjoyable. The casting director hit it spot on with that one.
With a flawless set and a creative eye for production, freelance lighting and project designer, SeifAllah Cristobal, really made the play shine with precise mood lighting and dramatic sequences. It was surely one of the best elements of the night.
Also, the ENTIRE cast was amazingly good and the portrayal of one of Broadway's most memorable stories was honored with a great performance. Such professionalism and grace the Woodland Theatre Company turned out to show us. Excellent job – can't wait for the next line-up!
